Instagram files and analysis history

Selected Instagram ZIP, JSON and HTML files are analyzed on your device. We do not upload the original files to a server for analysis. App history may include account names, follow relationships and dates, and is stored on your device. You can delete individual entries from the app’s history.

Usage and error diagnostics

To improve the service and troubleshoot errors, we send analysis attempts, outcomes, duration, error categories, file format/size/structure statistics, usage steps, app/web environment and versions to PostHog in the US. Events include opening guides, selecting files, viewing results, successful copy/share actions and opening the feedback form. Error diagnostics also include file roles, positions within each role’s file list, recognized part numbers, filename categories, duplicate-download naming indicators and their counts, classified on your device. Original filenames and paths are not sent. These usage and error events implemented by us exclude original filenames and contents, Instagram account names and lists, copied content and feedback text. A random per-tab identifier links activity for up to 30 minutes; this is not a deletion deadline for server records. For operational monitoring, aggregate reports and some individual error diagnostics (attempt ID, time, error, environment and file statistics) are forwarded to Slack. Measurement through Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager on the website operates separately from these events.

Advertising on the website and in the app

Newer mobile app versions use Google AdMob for app ads. The website and older app versions use Kakao AdFit. Even when the new app hides web ad placements, the webpage may still load the Kakao advertising script. The Google ads SDK may process IP addresses, device identifiers, ad interactions and diagnostic information to deliver and measure ads and prevent fraud. Our AdMob integration does not include Instagram files or analysis results in ad requests. See the provider notices below for information about third-party advertising and analytics processing.

App advertising privacy choices

Apps using AdMob check whether ads can be requested through Google’s consent management platform (UMP). A message may appear depending on your region and other applicable conditions. An ad privacy settings entry appears in app settings when required for changing choices. The app does not request iOS tracking permission (ATT). These choices apply to the app’s AdMob ads. They do not control Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, PostHog or the Kakao advertising script on the webpage.

Notifications and feedback you send

The app uses Firebase Cloud Messaging to manage notification permission and a token for receiving notifications. Firebase may process app installation identifiers as part of this service. If you submit feedback through external Google Forms or contact us by email, the content you provide is sent to Google and the operator.
