Instagram Unfollower Checking Guide
Learn how to download your Instagram data and compare follower and following lists step by step. A single export cannot show who unfollowed you or when.
Important Notes
- Choose All time and include both followers and following. A limited date range or missing files can change the results.
- JSON is recommended. ZIP files containing supported JSON or HTML exports can be analyzed; HTML date information may be missing or depend on the export language.
- Instagram prepares the export. Preparation time varies; check its notification or export screen and download the ZIP when it is ready.
- Select the downloaded ZIP without extracting it. You can also extract it and use the individual-file analyzer for supported follower and following JSON or HTML files.
Instagram Unfollower Check Step-by-Step Guide
1. Download data from Instagram
- Click ☰ in the top right of your profile
- Accounts Center
- Your Information and Permissions
- Download Your Information
- Create Export
- Download to Device
- In Information Customization, check 'Clear All'
- Check only 'Followers and Following' then save
- Select All Time + JSON format and click Start Export
2. Check data file creation completion notification
Instagram prepares the export. Preparation time varies; check its notification or export screen and download the ZIP when it is ready.
3. Upload ZIP file
Upload the received ZIP file using the file selection button
4. Check Analysis Results
Compare the follower and following lists in your Instagram export to see accounts not following you back, mutual follows, and follow dates recorded in the files.
